Dar drumul spre campionat este umplut cu o multime de gropi, ocolisuri si surprize hazli, atunci cand Mater este prins intr-o aventura intriganta de spionaj international. Calatoria impachetata in actiune a lui Mater il conduce intr-o urmarire exploziva pe strazile din Japonia si Europa. adaugarea la toata aceasta distractie, este o distributie cu tot felul de masini noi, colorate, ce includ agenti secreti, ticalosi amenintatori si a concurentilor de curse internationale. Iar daca ni-l inchipuim pe Mater conducand pe partea gresita a drumului in Marea Britanie, mergand in cercuri mari, gigante in Paris, pe autostrada din Germania, facand fata motoscuterelor in Italia, incercand sa inteleaga semnele de circulatie din Japonia, atunci tot farmecul acestui film va prinde viata.
